Trade Shows
Trade show give-aways are a must, of course, provided they don’t all get swept into free shopping bags and disappear from your booth on the first day. Every visitor to your booth will want to take home a ‘freebie’, but what do YOU get out of it. Magnets are very popular, as are the popular little ‘stress balls’ but where do they end up? Generally on a potential customer’s home refrigerator (out of sight – out of mind) or in a child’s toy box. A better choice might be something that will either remain on their desk or that they would use at work. Mouse pads, post it notes, pens, pencils, key chains, even plastic drinking glasses, all imprinted with your logo, are a good choice.
Another idea that has a two-fold benefit is asking visitors to complete a simple survey. Tell them their completed survey will be entered into a drawing for a great prize at the conclusion of the trade show. No need to be present. You will ship the item directly to their home or office.
This survey could ask why they came to the show, what type of products they purchase, are they familiar with your product, would they be willing to make an appointment, etc.
Depending on your budget, select a gift that will be useful and appreciated by men and women of all ages. Our customer research shows that a high-end Ipod, a golf bag on wheels (complete with a package of good golf balls, a towel, and golf shoe bag), and American Express Dining Gift cards are well received.
